Nano Coating

Nowadays, nanostructured coatings are considered one of the most practical fields of nanotechnology and have garnered significant attention.
Nanocoatings refer to coatings that possess at least one dimension at the nanometer scale. The nanometric thickness or nanostructured phases within the coating substantially enhances its properties compared to the micrometric state. The primary objective of applying these coatings is to improve surface properties over the bulk characteristics of the component.

Currently, this technology is employed in various industries such as marine equipment, medical devices, aerospace, oil and petrochemicals, automotive, and even decorative home items.
Among the different methods of applying nanocoatings, the Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) method has gained more attention due to its wide range of applications and the ability to deposit various coatings. These coatings are used to impart specific properties such as resistance to water, corrosion, scratches, contamination, and even antibacterial features.
